This weekend, we went for a little afternoon drive in the countryside outside of Munich. It did us good to see something other than our daily urban landscape, something green. Our two girlies took their naps in the car (which was great because usually it's very difficult to convince them to nap at all on the weekends!)
I used the opportunity to snap some photos of the passing landscape from the car. The brilliant yellow fields are blooming rape seed flowers, used in making canola oil. In the very last photo, if you look very closely, you can see a faint outline of the Alps. My husband is originally from a village in the Alps, and he got so excited by the sight the mountains in the distance.
We should do this more often. More photos soon :)
