Summer Guest from Maine : Jennifer Judd-McGee

Hi! I'm Jennifer Judd-McGee from Portland, Maine, and I'm honored that Stephanie has asked me to pop over and visit over at her lovely blog today and show you some photos from my part of the world taken over the summer. Thank you, Stephanie!

We had an extremely rainy beginning of our summer this year, so when the sun finally showed up I think everyone was even happier than usual to see it.

My family and I go back 'home' to Mount Desert Island + Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, Maine every summer for a short visit. I grew up there and it is still a favorite place to visit. I draw a ton of inspiration from the rocky coastline + the flora and fauna there.

I especially love to visit the Asticou Azalea Garden and the Thuya Garden in Northeast Harbor and photograph some of the flowers and leaves I see for inspiration later in the year.

Another highlight was a chance we had to spend a weekend in northern Maine with my parents on a quiet + beautiful lake. The sunset was a stunner.

I hope you've enjoyed these small glimpses of Maine!
