jewelry for your walls

Today I wanted to show you the second set of small originals for under $50 that I've added to my shop. I painted all 4 sides of these, so their dimensionality would really stand out when mounted on the wall.

Maybe it's because of their small scale or the rich colors, but I felt like I was working on little jewels with this series. I even added a tiny bit of gold and silver paint to the details to make them feel more precious.

I'm itching to get lots of new work done in preparation for the upcoming holidays. I'll be adding several new small scale originals to my shop during this month to make giving handmade possible for everyone!

I'd like to say thanks to Holly at decor8 for including my 2010 calendars in her great calendar round-up last Friday. So many gorgeous calendars in all shapes, sizes, and colors you can imagine!

I'm also excited about the new Poppytalk Handmade Market opening today. You can see my new gallery here.

This month's theme is "Indie Love" and there's lots of wonderful new artwork from some talented people, so be sure to take some time to browse :) Cheers and hope you are having a good start to your week!
