Turning Three

I'm a bit behind on posting this week, but I suppose we are still recovering from Lucy's birthday *parties* last week; she had a total of 4 celebrations!

Lucy's first birthday party was at her preschool, and her silly mama forgot to bring the camera (but I did at least remember to bring the cake!) Luckily,  the teachers at the preschool did take some photos, which I will get copies of eventually. That afternoon, five of Lucy's best girlfriends came over, which means that we had seven little girlie whirlwinds in our apartment for a few hours, all pumped up on cupcakes and strawberries. Needless to say, we were all exhausted after this very full day, and decided to postpone our "family" birthday party until the next morning.

In case you are wondering, Lucy made her pink paper crown in preschool - which is the tradition here in Germany. She was very careful to put it on for each birthday occasion, and insisted on wearing her matching pink Hello Kitty pajamas for her birthday breakfast celebration. Always the fashionista.

Over the weekend, we visited Lucy's German grandparents, where we had chocolate crumble cheesecake, and the weather was pleasant enough to sit outside. All in all, it was quite a lot of partying for someone turning three, don't you think?!

After so much excitement and preparation, it has taken me some time to get back in the groove of being creative, but I did start painting today, and I will have more photos to share tomorrow!

Hope you are having a good week yourself!
