Last week, I was in lovely Barcelona, surrounded by palm trees and sunshine
and luscious fruits temptingly displayed at the local market.
I tasted rich churros and hot, thick chocolate to dip them in
more sweet treats than I could count
and delicious tapas made with seafood and caviar
roasted vegetables, olive oil, herbs, and cheese... oh yum!
I was lucky enough to view Gaudi's architecture by day
and by night
and outside on the rooftop terrace by sunset.
I soaked up the colors of Gaudi's mosaics
and rested on the curved benches at Park Guell.
From high above the city, I strained my eyes to see the sea
and peeked below to watch Spanish schoolboys play a lively game of soccer.
Barcelona was wonderful and I'm sure I will be back,
but for right now, I know two Flamenco dancers who make me laugh and smile!
Hope you have been having some fun adventures of your own!
Sending hugs from snowy Munich today :)
