Are you ready to join me in Berlin?
I'm happy to share the early morning autumn loveliness of Berlin
with brilliantly colored leaves that brighten the corners here
This morning, I walked along the Berlin Wall Memorial. These houses are on the former West
and these houses are on the former East side of the Wall.
Many designer apartments have been built directly on the former border of the Wall, which remains a very hot topic of discussion in Berlin.
On a lighter note, I recently visited one of my favorite old-fashioned cinemas in Berlin to see the film "Liberace."
The theater is called the International and lovely, historic chandeliers grace the lobby and create a fantastic atmosphere. I'm sure Liberace himself would have loved it!
I've also discovered more street art
tasted Berlin roasted organic, fair trade coffee
tried a German "afri cola" for the very first time at my local pizzeria
(film director Wim Wenders made this video for afri + I saw Wenders riding his bike through my neighborhood this week, it's a small world in Berlin...)
saw reminders to take it easy
enjoyed freshly baked homemade scones
and noticed pretty buildings glowing in the afternoon sun.
What have you been seeing, tasting, doing lately?
I hope you've had the time to take some morning walks and enjoy life in your corner of the world too.
Hugs from Berlin,
p.s. - In just one week, we'll be getting started with my special edition Creative Courage Berlin course. It's going to be a lot of fun, and I'm looking forward to showing you more behind the scenes views of Berlin + sharing my guest interviews with 12 inspiring creative women, now based in Berlin. Come have a peek and join us here.
