Panyi Zsuzsi is a glass and jewelry artist who I was happy to meet in 2012 in her beautiful hometown of Szentendre, Hungary, near Budapest. She kindly showed me around her town and studio and I had the opportunity to taste the delicious regional specialty langos.
Today Panyi Zsuzsi will share some of her Hungarian Christmas holiday traditions with us, enjoy!
December is my busiest month of all. I have 4 kids and my business gives me a lot to do. I plan the business part quite early, so I have enough time for the family by December.
Our special tradition is that I make goose liver in goose fat. This is a traditional Hungarian food. I prepare it on the evening of the 23rd while my Hubby takes care of the Christmas tree.
After we are both finished, we have a mini pre-Christmas dinner with a bottle of nice wine. This is our special time in the rush.
2013 was a great year for me. From this year on I not only desing the glass part of the bold.color.glass jewelry, but the findings as well. This was a great step ahead. Since some of my old items were sold out and I designed many new collections. For these, my logo was not adequate any more. I had a total visual rebrand for the 6th birthday of my brand. It was a fantastic year, but only a beginning of a new era.
In 2014, I wish to design many new jewelry lines. I have some already in my sketch book, and I will start with these in January. I plan to improve my photography skills next year and use more photos of my own on my blog.
Thank you Panyi Zsuzsi for sharing with us! I wish you all the best with your exciting plans for 2014!
