Belinda Marshall is a Melbourne, Australia based artist and surface designer working in a variety of media, including acrylic, colllage, graphite, and hand stitching.

Belinda is also a super sweet, kind, intelligent and talented person, and I had the pleasure of meeting her last year in Berlin after her trip to Gothenburg, Sweden to work with artist Camilla Engman.

I'm delighted to share some of Belinda's current work with you here today, and I'm very excited to announce that her recent crowdfunding campaign to release a new series of greeting cards has been fully funded! Congratulations Belinda and I look forward to seeing your new work! xo

Welcome Belinda! Please tell us about yourself, what you do, and name 5 of your favorite things.

I’m an artist and surface designer and a mum to two small boys. 5 things I love: coconut ice-cream, swimming, champaign, travel, crochet.

Where do you live, what do you like about it - and what place would you most like to visit one day?

I live in an inner city suburb of Melbourne, Australia. I love that I can buy fresh healthy food easily and I can find amazing food in cafes and restaurants not far from home.

I would love to go to Spain, Portugal and back to Sweden and France.

How do you manage to keep a good life/work balance and stay healthy and fit?

I’m not sure that I do! I mostly feel like I’m trying to pack too much in!

(me too Belinda! xo)

What is the most exciting adventure you ever had?

My trip to Sweden and Berlin last year was pretty incredible and exciting!

What are your favorite upcoming creative projects for 2014, and could you share some advice to those who would like to pursue a more creative, artistic path too?

I’m working on making some products featuring my artwork that I can expand into the wholesale market with, including greeting cards. There are a few other products I’m planning which will be made of fabric!

My advice is to keep going as often as possible with your creative passion to see where it leads, and to try not to be too harsh on your efforts along the way!

That sounds like great advice Belinda! Thanks for sharing with us today + have a great weekend! xo
