We had such a fun time in my Creative Courageous Year Winter Session - this is one of my favorite courses ever!
Today I wanted to thank the 5 inspiring women who contributed guest interviews - and give you a sneak preview of what's coming up this Spring Session ;) Thank you Maya, Constança, Tara, Stephanie, and Holly for making this course so special, sharing your stories with us + keeping us cozy and inspired this winter season!
Maya Donenfeld lives in rural New York with her two children, 2 cats and 6 chickens in a beautiful historic farmhouse from the 1850's surrounded by beautiful meadows, creeks and forests.
Maya introduces herself on her blog as a "mother, artist, maker, gatherer and reinventor" - and I would add talented author and generous, creative spirit to that list too. Maya has a poetic, magical way of combining words and images of her daily life on her very popular maya*made blog, and she also shares many seasonal recipes and homemade diy tutorials too!
Maya has contributed to many books, and her work has been featured in many beautiful magazines: Country Living, Green Craft Magazine, Sew Hip, Where Women Create, Family Circle, Artful Blogging, Food Network Magazine, and Create With Me. She is also the author of a delightful book: Reinvention- Sewing with Rescued Materials.
By the way, Maya has also been so kind to share little bit about our CCY course + a teaser from her interview which you can read on her maya*made blog here.
Constança Cabral is the creator of the very popular blog Saídos da Concha, where she shares beautiful seasonal recipes as well as many craft, sewing, and home decorating tutorials online. She was born and raised in Portugal, but more recently she lived in rural England for 3 years, and now she's based in New Zealand.
I've followed Constança's blog for years and she is always a great source of inspiration with her gorgeous photography and how she integrates creativity and nature into her daily life.
Tara O'Brady is a food author and photographer from Ontario, Canada and creator of the award winning seven spoons blog. I've been a big fan of Tara's work for years, and I'm very happy that she could take time out of her busy schedule for a Creative Courageous Year interview (now she's writing her first book).
Tara is also a core contributor to UPPERCASE magazine, with a regular column in each issue. Her work has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, Kinfolk magazine, The Globe and Mail, Style at Home, and Saveur.com. Her recipes and photographs have also appeared in The Guardian, on Bon Appétit, Oprah.com, and Design*Sponge, among others.
p.s. - You can read the artists who blog interview I did with Tara back in 2010 here. Enjoy!
Stephanie Perkinson is an artist, holistic health coach, and a lovely, glowing lady who will gives one a boost of energy with her kind, thoughtful words and spirit. She now has her own coaching business called Wellness by Design, that features online courses, seasonal cleanses, and one-on-one consulting.
Connect with Stephanie on her lovely website, facebook, twitter, instagram - and don't miss her online and feel delicious coaching programs. Thanks Stephanie for all your tips and inspiration, I love your Feathering the Nest course too!
Holly Ward Bimba aka Golly Bard is a gifted artist working in a rural village in Virginia, who loves to "paint, draw, create things, and dig in her garden." Sounds wonderful to me! I discovered Holly's artwork through Taproot magazine.
Holly studied printmaking, papermaking and book arts at Syracuse University, but her first love is watercolor painting. You'll find Holly's beautiful work as prints on Etsy, her fabric and wallpaper designs on Spoonflower and you can keep up with her studio happenings on her blog.
I appreciate all of the sharing and creativity from these lovely ladies and from our e-course group! Thanks so much to you all and big hugs from Berlin,
